Day Two - Cravin Crazy!

Wow, Day Two was a little more difficult than Day One! I stayed full and satisfied and all that jazz, but a bad craving set in about 4:30 and refused to let go. And of course the craving was for my favorite food in the world, fried chicken. Um, yeah, not good. BUT powering through made me feel good. I couldn't have done it without the help of my ever-supportive sweetee, Blaine. He's on board with this program and with doing anything I need to help - and my gosh how lucky am I? Without the support of him and my incredible family, this would be even more of an uphill climb. So for the rundown...

Breakfast: Chocolate "Milk": (12 oz Chocolate Almond Milk, 2 spoons ViSalus powder, 2 tbsp chocolate pudding mix (SF/FF)

Mid-morning Snack: 1 oz Smoked Applewood Cheese & 8 grape tomatoes

Lunch: turkey sandwich and Miss Vickie's sea salt/black pepper chips and 16 oz unsweetened tea. Not great with the chips but still well within 1200 cals for the day.

Afternoon Snack: Fiber Plus Antioxidants Dark Chocolate Almond granola bar

Dinner: The Frosting Shake: 12oz Vanilla Almond Milk, 2 spoons ViSalus powder, 1 tbsp chocolate buttercream frosting -- *This shake was magically delicious...*

No evening snack needed. Had more water with the PM vita-pak and all was good! Happy V'ing!

Day One!

Day One went really well! It's actually been a day and a half, but either way, it's been easier than I thought. I'm not really counting calories but more or less sticking to the two shake/one meal/two snacks plan and doing my best to make somewhat healthier choices for the lunch & snacks. Work in progess, kids!

A rundown of Day One...

Breakfast: Chocolate Pudding Shake (8 oz Almond Milk, 2 spoons ViSalus powder, 2 tbsp choc pudding mix (sugar free/fat free), 2 tbsp butterscotch pudding mix, 4 ice cubes) -- was good. Thick enough that I ate with a spoon like actual pudding. Very filling. Had to remind myself to eat mid-morning snack.

Mid-morning Snack: 1 oz Smoked Applewood Cheese & 8 grape tomatoes

Lunch: Chocolate "Milk" (8 oz Chocolate Almond Milk, 2 spoons ViSalus powder, 2 tbsp chocolate pudding mix (SF/FF) -- was very good. I didn't want the lunch shake to be as filling (I'm not a huge fan of milkshakes in general). So not including the ice made the consistency more like a glass of chocolate milk. YUM! I also took some strawberries as a side but they thawed kinda growdy so I didn't eat them. And luckily didn't really need them to be satisfied.

Afternoon Snack: Fiber Plus Antioxidants Dark Chocolate Almond granola bar

Dinner: Beef Tenderloin & Chicken Kebobs - probably about 4-5oz of meat with green peppers, onions, cherry tomatoes and asparagus.

I also drank plenty of water including one Neuro smart energy drink (lemon). I don't love lemon normally but the taste isn't bad. I just wish it mixed better. Which may be my fault since the water I used was pretty cold rather than room temp.

Exercise? Yes! Did about 15 minutes of Zumba Wii game and 15 minutes of Yoga stretching dvd. Was actually sore from Barre class the night before (UGH, KICKED MY ARSE!). I'll probably do a second post on that madness!

Happy V'ing!
